Wolters Kluwer eBooks deliver the same authoritative content available in our print publications, enhanced with digital features designed to improve navigation, accessibility and productivity. Our eBooks allow you to search content, bookmark pages, highlight text, add notes and annotations, navigate via linked tables of contents and cross-references, and adjust font size and viewing preferences.

eBook Format & Digital Rights Management (DRM)

All Wolters Kluwer eBooks are supplied in EPUB format and protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management (DRM). EPUB adapts to different screen sizes and supports desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile reading while preserving navigation and accessibility features.

Compatible Devices

Windows PC and Mac: Adobe Digital Editions.

iPad and iPhone: Bluefire Reader.

Alternative iOS reader: DL Reader.

Kindle devices are not supported for protected EPUB titles.

Getting Started

Important: Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) now uses ByteBooks for sign-in and eBook authentication.

Before downloading your eBook, please note:

• You'll need a free ByteBooks account
• If you previously used an Adobe ID, it has not been deleted.
• Going forward, you will sign in to Adobe Digital Editions using your ByteBooks email address and password.

If you already have Adobe Digital Editions installed, you do not need to reinstall the software. Simply create a ByteBooks account (if you do not already have one) and re-authorize Adobe Digital Editions using your ByteBooks credentials.

Step 1: Download Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)

Step 2: Create Your Free ByteBooks Account

Step 3: Authorize Adobe Digital Editions

1. Open Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Select Help > Authorize Computer.
3. Enter your ByteBooks email address and password.
4. Click Authorize.

Step 4: Download Your eBook

Once Adobe Digital Editions has been authorized, Open the email that is sent to you after the transaction is complete.

To purchase and download a CCH eBook to read on your iPad:

1. Install the Bluefire Reader app on your iPad from the App Store.
2. Create a ByteBooks ID if you do not already have one click here to create your ByteBooks ID.
3. Purchase the eBook you require from our online store.
4. Open the email that is sent to you after the transaction is complete.
5. Click on the eBook link, then click on Open in Bluefire.
6. Enter your ByteBooks ID and Password when prompted and your eBook should automatically download to the Bluefire Reader.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a ByteBooks account? ByteBooks is required for authentication of DRM-protected eBooks.

Can I share my eBook? No. eBooks are licensed to a single purchaser.

Can I print, copy or paste content? Restrictions may apply in accordance with DRM and licensing conditions.

Can I use another eReader? Unsupported devices may not provide satisfactory reading experience. To enjoy the full experience of a CCH eBook, your intended reading device will need to be compatible with the EPUB format and support Adobe DRM.

Due to the nature of downloadable digital products, eBooks are non-returnable and non-refundable once downloaded.
