Despite decades of awareness campaigns of the health impact of exposure to asbestos fibers, we have failed to eradicate asbestos from the workplace. Many workplaces continue to have asbestos containing material. As those workplaces become dilapidated or require maintenance for wear and tear, stable asbestos can become air borne creating deadly risks for workers exposed to it. This book explores the legal obligations relating to managing asbestos in the workplace.
